Cursor in practice: from a feature brief to working code

An outline for taking a feature brief through implementation, testing, and review.

This is a placeholder. The full story, real examples, and sources are coming soon.

The scenario

A small team needs to add a feature to an existing application.

This is a proposed use case to investigate. The workflow has not yet been tested for this article.

The workflow to explore

  1. Write the feature brief and acceptance criteria.
  2. Ask the agent to inspect the codebase and propose a plan.
  3. Implement the change, run checks, and review the result.

Evidence to collect

We’ll document the setup, inputs, output quality, time spent, costs, and human corrections. Results and screenshots will be added after testing.
