OpenAI Dots: persistent work across apps

- Does: Runs assigned projects between conversations using a cloud computer, browser, and connected apps. You can inspect its computer and redirect work.
- Setup: Connect the relevant apps, give it a responsibility, and define approval rules. Available through ChatGPT, Slack, and Teams.
- Reported example: A tester’s dot found an unsent invoice, prepared it, and sent it after approval.
- Access at launch: Pro and Business Premium in eligible markets; Enterprise beta requires admin enablement. First dot included; deeper work has an allowance. Codex/Work tasks consume their respective limits.
- Boundary: Background proactive research is read-only. Actions follow permissions and approval rules. Specialist enterprise dots were pilots, not general availability.
